The baluster shaped brown glazed body decorated through with large lizards, moths and insects with a yellow glazed vine branching up and across the body terminating in green leaves and purple grapes,with two very large coiled snake handles and the tall collar decorated with tendrils and frogs, all below a domed brown gazed lid surmounting by a large coiling snake fighting a large green lizard. This vase represents one of only four or five other known examples of Monumental  Manual Mafra pieces and was probably manufactured for Exhibition purposes., 26”h, 16”w
