The largest safe monogrammed OJ to obverse, dated Xmas 1886 to reverse, match strike to bottom; the smaller safe with bright-cut diagonal striping and fans to either side, monogrammed WFM, match strike to bottom; the slender American safe with bright-cut floral and twig border around a diamond cartouche to obverse, inscribed Papa, floral decoration to reverse, match strike to bottom.

Light pitting to the sides, light wear to the strike, minor scuffing to the monogram; dents to the top corners of the other Dominick & Haff safe; lid to the American safe is slightly stiff, dents to the sides and some wear to the strike, otherwise all with surface scratches indicative of age, use and polishing.
