Description
Hajime Namiki (b. 1947) is a Japanese artist who had a strong connection to trees, which is evident in his work. He gained fame for his copious amount of images depicting trees. When he was young he started studying sculpture as a student of the legendary artist Shigeru Ogura. He later became a member of the Japanese Association of Sculptors since he was already an exhibiting artist at key exhibitions. His work is collected by many museums and institutions, notably the White House in Washington DC.
