The only attachment is the bookplate of the Rev. J. Tuttle Smith, to the inside front cover. There are no written notations. The page faces are clean throughout the book, with all text and the frontispiece illustration as new.

Samuel Maunder was an English writer and composer of several works, most notable the Biographical Treasury. He is known to have compiled and issued numerous dictionaries, chiefly for educational purposes.

Condition

Good. Light stains to the back and spine, which is straight and well-connected, with no tears, and no fade. The inside cover spreads are otherwise clean and unfaded, as are the page edges, slightly red-toned all-around. There are no page tears or creases. The binding is tight, with no loose or missing pages pages.
