Group of over 90, mostly celluloid, late 19th and early 20th century buttons and studs [sizes from 3/4" to 1-1/4" diameter]. Includes bicycle, tire, wheel, and accessory manufacturers along with a few bicycle club items. Bicycle companies include: Crawford,Crescent, Bison, Keating, Fowler, Bellis, Frontenac, Aetna, Glendron,Puritan, Wolff-American, Pierce, Orient, Newport S&F, Mayflower, and others. Includes a double-sided celluloid pendant illustrated with a bicycle and imprinted "Exhibitor / Third Annual Eastern National Cycle show / February 6 to 13, 1897" on front and numbered on reverse "3473" with text "Grand Central Palace of Industry / 43rd Street and Lexington Avenue New York. Features an enamel pinback button for "The Trump Cyclometer" with suspended white metal pocket watch-form pendant [overall 2-1/8" long] advertising "The Waterbury Watch Company" on front and "Trump Cyclometer and Bicycle Watch" on back. The enamel pinback is marked "O'Hara Dial Co."
Condition
Generally very good antique condition. One large badge bears lifting celluloid.
