Description

A mid 19th century pressed lacy glass salt dish, Boston & Sandwich Co. Opaque Blue shaded, boat-form, with "Lafayet" on the paddle wheels, "B. & S. Glass Co." on the stern, and "Sandwich" at the interior and underside of the base. Likely made to commemorate the steamship "Lafayette" which had routes in the vicinity of coastal Massachusetts. Circa 1830-1835. Minor wear; a very small nick noted to the tip of the base. 3 5/8 x 1 5/8" high. ESTIMATE $400-600
