A 19th century Historical Blue Staffordshire "New York From Heights Near Brooklyn" platter by A. Stevenson. Oblong with notches at the rim, transfer-decorated at the well with two young men in the fore, boats in the harbor in the distance. After a painting by W. G. Wall, engraved by I. Hill. Stamped in blue on the reverse, also impressed with Stevenson's trademark. Light crazing; few small brown spots to the well. 16 3/8" long. ESTIMATE $800-1,200
