Characterized with attractive pale-brown overbold grisaille brush strokes. Showing themed calligraphy inscriptions, followed by Lai Shaoqi iron-red signature seals on upper left. Mounted on pale-creme silk border. As a Chinese painting master in the 20th century, Lai Shaoqi (1915-2000) is a versatile artistic genius with extraordinary achievements in print-making, ink-wash painting, calligraphy, seal-cutting, poem and playwriting. His art will offer rich inspiration to future generations of Chinese painting.

PROVENANCE: Acquired from a vast Connecticut estate collection in 2007 with records indicating that they were purchased over several years during the early 1900's and up until the 1915's from the JS Ltd Company New York. Pieces of history being passed on to the future.
