Good Handel boudoir lamp featuring a 7 inch "ice chip" shade reverse painted with a full Harvest moon peeking between brown foliaged trees bordering a reflective estuary warmed by an orange sky hand decorated by artisan Mary Palme. The shade is hand inscribed "Handel 6912, Palmer" on the lower rim. The bronze base reveals a continuous woodland scene in high relief and a nice furrowed foot revealing the "Handel" bronze starred tag beneath. Hubbell light socket with an acorn pull. Combined height is a mere 14 inches. Impressive miniature with the fine qualities of a full size lamp. Excellent original condition.
