There are scenes of village life carved in this mountain shaped jade piece. Two travelers on a road, a large pine tree, a fisherman, houses, and a boat on the water are depicted. The back is incised with calligraphy, accented in gold, on a boulder. It sits on a custom stand with four legs. The jade showing clean tone, with creme-white iridescent, moist milky appearance.
