Description
PORCELAIN PUG DOG FIGURAL MINIATURE LAMP, tan and white ground with naturalistic facial features, sitting with front paws up in a begging position, circular base depicting a rock formation, underside impressed "PS / L RD 33372 / 35" and handwritten "48", brown glass eyes, opaque white umbrella-form shade, period collar. Fitted with a Falk, Stadelmann & Co. burner, colorless chimney. Circa 1899. 13 1/4" H to top of shade, 6 1/2" H to top of collar, 4" D base.
Good condition, reverse of dog with a light vertical approximate 3" hairline off collar, shade rim with a minute flake and fitter with an adhered chip. Burner with light denting, one shade arm with a repair.
