PLUME AND ATWOOD CHERUB AND SCROLL KEROSENE BANQUET LAMP, open-work font holder with reserves depicting cherubs and a floral motif leading to a cast-metal columnar connector, tall-tapered alabaster stem, large squared alabaster base bordered by a ornate cast-metal foot with a scroll design. Fitted with a complete brass drop-in font, flame spreader signed "PA/ROYAL" with patent information. Topped by a period alabaster/interior frosted ball-form shade with enamel-decoration. Fourth quarter 19th century. 32 7/8" HOA, 24 3/4" H to top of flame spreader, 8" SQ base. 9 1/2" H shade.
Excellent condition overall with the banquet base having an old solder repair to the foot, drop-in font with scattered denting but no stress marks or splits, shade lacking original shade ring revealing typical flaking/roughness, minute 1/4" DOA radial fracture to the interior of the shade.
