Antique 18th C English Portrait Attributed to Joshua Reynolds. The picture is a portrait of Dorothy Gregor (nee Dorothy Harris of Pickwell), who died in 1790 at the age of 90. Mrs. Gregor was the second wife of Francis Gregor of the Trewarthenick Estate of Cornwall (1686-1762), mother of Francis Gregor Sr (1728-1786), and grandmother of Member of Parliament Francis Gregor (1760-1815). The Gregor family was quite a prominent family in Cornwall and their extensive family records are held by the Cornwall Record Office http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/deta ils/rd/42027180-21db-44e1-bb26-9dc1438820ea). The portrait of Mrs. Gregor is approximately 24 inches wide and 29 1/2 inches long (61 cm x 75 cm). The carved gilt frame is approximately 31 inches wide and 38 inches
