Description
A Chinese Doucai porcelain teapot. Republic era. Eight sided octagonal form, decorated in underglaze blue and overglaze enamels depicting alternating panels of dragons and phoenix among stylized clouds. The underside of spout bearing an underglaze blue six character calligraphy mark denoting Ming Dynasty, Wanli period. Measures 6.75" high to top of finial, 8.25" wide, from end of spout to end of handle.
