Description
Two framed pen and ink drawings by artist / sculptor Constantino Nivola (1911-1988). Titled on the back of each, Times Square, Looking North and Times Square, Looking South. Each drawn on paper. One measuring 5.5" x 9.25" and the second measuring 5.75" x 8.5". Framed, 9.5" x 13". One appears signed with the artist's cipher.
Also with provenance note from Consignor's estate, reading: "I watched Constantino make these two ink drawings of Times Square in New York City in the spring of 1955. He was a critic in the master's class of the graduate School of Design at Harvard University and we made this trip to New York as part of a design exercise for a redevelopment study." signed Douglas P. Haner.
NOTE: Times Square Looking North is more faint.
