Item Details
Description
This marble bust on a low socle is an example of Victorian interest in classic mythology, in that it appears to represent the Roman goddess, Diana/Greek goddess, Artemis. From her hair style, facial features, drape of her clothes and cross strap on her body, she looks like the goddess of the hunt and the moon, who is sometimes shown carrying a quiver of arrows strapped to her back. 25" H.
