Description
Arbuckle's was the first company to start selling roasted coffee in one pound packages. Until that time, coffee was sold green and had to be roasted in a skillet over a fire or in a wood stove. Arbuckle products became well known with their bright yellow packaging with distinctive red lettering that any buyer could easily recognize on a country store shelf without having to read the label.
