British) - (2) Coastal Naval Engagements, oil on canvas, featuring longboats pulling away from a Royal Navy topsail schooner, which is firing a gun; and a Canadian Brig, which is unloading a horse by sling. Both are signed, one more clearly than the other, and dated 1817. In matching vintage maple ogee frames with gilt liners. OS: 24" x 31", SS: 17 1/2" x 25 1/2". Cleaned and relined, loss to liners.
