English Queen Anne Style Carved Walnut Breakfront Bookcase, c. 1930, the architectural top over two center mullioned glazed doors flanked by two setback like doors, on a plinth base, on pad feet, H.- 43 3/4 in., W.- 64 in., D.- 13 1/2 in. Provenance: The Estate of James C. Westerfield, Jackson, Mississippi.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. Light scratches, scuffs and dents throughout. A 1 inch crack on the right side of the top. An approximate ½ inch crack and slightly raised veneer on the right. A 3 inch hairline crack in the top right edge. Light wear and craquelure to the lining on the interior. Pea-size dents in the right door. Several vertical 3 inch hairline cracks in the sides. Several clusters of flea-size dents near the locks. Key present. Electrified but does not light when tested. A nice piece.
