1884 CC Morgan Silver Dollar Mint Carson City Mintage 1,136,000 : Weight 26.73 G .900 Silver .7734 Oz. Designer George T Morgan: Obv. Morgan Dollar depicts Liberty's head, facing left. Wearing a Phrygian cap, with the word LIBERTY on the hair band. with various agricultural features of wheat and oak leaves. Above Liberty is E PLURIBUS UNUM, with each word separated by a single dot. To the left are seven stars and another six are to the right. stars are flat, thus not showing the radial lines usually found on American coinage. The date is below, and the designers initial, “M†for Morgan, is on the truncation of the neck. Doubled 18 in date. 1 slightly doubled on right side. Left 8 doubled on right side of the lower loop and top right outside of upper loop Rev. features a Bald Eagle with wings outstretched with a small laurel wreath surrounding. A branch and three arrows are clutched in the eagle's claws. The motto IN GOD WE TRUST above, the denomination ONE DOLLAR is below. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Isolated fine polishing lines around eagle's tail feathers and legs. Die gouge dot at ninth outer feather edge from bottom of eagle's left wing. First C doubled on the left inside.
