A Victorian coromandel toilet box with silver gilt mounted fittings by George Betjemann & Sons, London 1873, a plaque engraved C. Asprey & Son 166 Bond St. as retailers, with an inset brass monogram to the cover, brass edges and a Bramah-type lock, stamped Asprey's Patent to the sliding escutcheon, the black leather lined interior with a mirror inside the cover, fitted with two cut glass bottles, two cylindrical and two oval jars, a toothbrush box and four rectangular boxes, blue plush trays, two outward hinged, a lift-out tray fitted with twenty manicure and other accessories in silver gilt, steel gilt, etc., another tray with three ivory brushes, another tray beneath fitted for jewellery, the hinged front flap fitted with three hand mirrors, most fittings engraved with a monogram, 34cm (13 1/2in) wide Cites Regulations Please note that this lot (lots marked with the symbol Ω in the printed catalogue) may be subject to CITES regulations when exported.
