The rare circular reticulated dish stamped "Saturnia - Vulcania" below a crown and knot, the underside stamped "L. Janesich 800," for the firm of Leopoldo Janesich, silversmiths to European royalty from 1838-1968. The Saturnia and Vulcania were the two most famous and glamorous ships of the Cosulich Line, out of Trieste; they were on the seas from the 1920s to the 1960s as ocean liners, war transports, hospital ships, and cruise ships. 3.25" diameter. 0.60 troy ounces.
