Description
Greece, Hellenistic Period, ca. 323 to 31 BCE. A mold made hollow figure of a female goddess, probably Athena, who stands striding forward, with one arm raised and the other held behind her. Her head is slightly turned to the side, as if she is looking forward. This is a dynamic figure, made as a votive statue to be placed as an offering at a temple. Size: 3.75" W x 9.45" H (9.5 cm x 24 cm)
