[4], 8, 8-16, [1], 20-98 leaves, missing the last leaf. About 23 cm. Many important approbations at the beginning of the book with additional approbations at the beginning of Numbers.
The author [circa 1760-1820] was one of the sages of the Kloiz in Brody, and as is written on the title page: One who set up the tent of the Torah in the study hall of Rabbi...Chaim Sanzer. In the book, he frequently quotes the great Chassidic leaders. For more information about him refer to: Encyclopedia L'Chassidut 1, 615. A rare book, even bibliographers disagreed about where it was printed. However, it has been proved that it was printed in Dubno as written on the title page. A copy with a damaged title page and first leaves is listed in the Mehlman Collection - Ginzei Yisrael 88.
To the best of our knowledge, this rare book has never appeared at auction. Stefansky, Chassidut 386.
Old half-leather binding. Artistic restoration on the top part of the title page with slight damage to text. Narrow worming holes, mainly in the margins. Aging stains. Fine condition. Â
