Rare pamphlet in original edition. This report provides detailed information on one of the most important battles of the "Seven Years War". The June 18, 1757 Field Marshal Leopold von Daun defeated Frederick II of Prussia for the first time in his career, desperately fighting in the Battle of Kolin. Federico's plan was to surround the Austrians with the right wing of his army, but the Prussian forces failed in the encirclement of the Austrians and found themselves fighting the enemy in the face. The Austrian light infantry played a key role here. The Prussians, in the clash, lost about 14,000 men, the Austrians 9,000. To commemorate this important victory the Empress Maria Teresa immediately instituted the military order that bears his name, and Daun it obtained the first Grand Cross.Nice conditions.
