Very rare original edition. In the work are present the Acts of the Synod that took place in Ferrara in 1711: the work is divided in four sections, with the addition of an appendix. Of considerable interest is the fourth part with chapters about education of children, hospitals, Jews. In addition, a lot of chapters are dedicated to economic matters: the pawnshop, public welfare, simony, usury.

Taddeo Luigi dal Verme (1641-1717) was Cardinal in 1695, and Bishop of Ferrara in 1702 during the pontificate of Pope Clement XI. He was son of Giovanni Maria Dal Verme, Earl of Sanguineto, and Ottavia Meli Lupi di Soragna, Marquis of Soragna, nephew of Cardinal Mellini Savio and related to the cardinals Girolamo Farnese and Mario Alberizzi. Specimen with slight signs of dampstain, a few pages with wormholes on the lower margins.
