A compression cast accessory for the businessman of the 1870s…a bronze paperweight that doubles as a rule, with increments indicated on the beveled edge…note the fine casting details, very R&E-like, but more likely made by the Boston Metallic Art Works, whose owners were the men who started MCCC …especially note the little lift knob with the bull, and how it is set all the way through the metal and peened on the reverse…dimensions are 12.25” x 2.75” and the knob is ¾” across…as found condition…likely a very rare item…
