Description
Royal Copenhagen (Danish, founded 1775), circa 1960s. A collection of nine pieces of Mid Century Modern fajance porcelain in the "Crazy Birds" pattern designed by Beth Breyen for the "Tenera" series produced under the direction of Nils Thorsson (1898 - 1975). Collection includes two boxed sets in original packaging, each box with four egg-shaped dishes, each with different colored peacock bird and one matching circular trivet or wall hanging. The pieces are marked for Royal Copenhagen with the designer's monogram. Each of the egg shaped dishes are numbered on the back 107/1355, 108/1355, 109/1355 and 110/1355. The trivet is is also numbered on back 128/1665. Dishes are approximately 3.5" x 2.5". The trivet is 5.75" diameter.
