9 volumes. Portrait frontispiece in Volume 1. 86x52 mm, original green cloth, decoratively bordered in blind on front and rear, gilt monogram device on front, spines gilt, all edges gilt. Housed in a custom bookcase covered in full calf (originally green but now faded to tan exterior, the interior of the case retaining the original green color) decorative floral design on rear panel of interior, "Shakespeare" on label above center of case. The Diamond Edition.

This issue without the engravings except for the frontispiece in Volume 1. Almost invariably found in red cloth, the green cloth variant is quite scarce. Bondy pp. 88-89; Mikrobiblion, 220. Welsh, 6309. Bookplate of noted angling author Hugh Tempest Sheringham in each volume.

Condition

Spines faded to brown, some wear to ends, very good.
