Pre-Columbian, Jalisco, Mexico, West Coast, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. Attractive pottery flat of a mother holding her child. Large legs and breasts placed awkwardly under her shoulders, child looking as if he is getting ready for lunch. Typical thin (sheep-face) appearance of the mother and child, each with added red and tan pigments. Size: 6.25" H (15.9 cm)
