DESCRIPTION: A large carved Chinese malachite sculpture of a standing Buddha holding a staff in his right hand with dangling vessels and gourds, as well as the traditional ruyi scepter in his left hand. Further carvings are seen of children tugging on his flowing clothing. Fitted to a custom wooden base embellished with elegant reticulations and gilded wired cloud and meander patterns.
