An outstanding Antique Quezal Pulled Feather Shade On A Gilt Metal Female Figural Desk Lamp, Circa 1915 depicting a beautiful fairy holding an envelope in one hand bird in the other (as if the bird just delivered the love letter), standing bare foot on an a out cropping with a flower blooming a wonderful signed quezal pulled feather iridized gold to green shade with an iridized gold interior. The sculpture is has its original tumbler light switch, is raised on a plinth mottled marble base with a name plaque titling it "Messagere Par Aug. Moreau" which translates from French into "The Messenger by Aug. Moreau". This rare and unique piece of period lighting has a great silhouette, superb lines and colors and would make an impressive gift or addition to any fine household or collection. - LAMP SIZE (total): 16 3/4" Height x 6 1/2" Width x 11" Depth (front to back). - SHADE SIZE: 5 1/2" Diameter x 3 3/4" Height x 2 1/4" (fitter). - CONDITION: One wing missing, otherwise in excellent working condition. - NOTE: We Have additional images.
