Wise, 1916 Leatherette bound with blind stamped gilded titles on the cover and spine Illustrated with full-page black & white engravings First Edition First Printing
Each volume focuses on a subtitle: Good Men and Great, Famous Women, American Statesmen, Eminent Painters, English Authors, Eminent Artists, Eminent Orators, Great Philosophers, Great Reformers, Great Teachers, Great Businessmen, Great Scientists, Great Lovers, and Great Musicians. Volume I includes the following statement opposite frontispiece portrait of Hubbard: "This Copy of the Memorial Edition in Fourteen Volumes of Elbert Hubbard's Little Journeys to the Homes of the Great Has been specially prepared by the Roycrofters in their shops, which are in East Aurora, Erie County, New York, for Effie F. Meyer." A second portrait of Hubbard is laid in. Each volume bears a 1916 copyright date. Each includes a statement at the rear with a 1916 production date, except for a 1920 date for Volume IV. Each volume includes a frontispiece with tissue guard and other portraits.
