Description
Larche, Raoul Francois (French, 1860 - 1912); An late 19th - early 20th century figural Bronze sculpture titled in French 'Vingt Ans' which translates to 'Twenty Years'. In depiction of a young male warrior, clad in a loin cloth and holding a drawn sword with the scabbard at his feet. Having a warm brown patina. Inscribed artist signature to the left side of the base in close proximity of the foot. Stamped with Siot-Decauville Fondeur Paris foundry mark and numbered "T238". Also engraved with a custom French dedication reading "A son Présidens Charles Petit, le Cercle des Franc Bourgeois, 1908." Measures approx. 35-1/2" H x 13" W x 11-1/2" D. Will not ship, we can refer local shippers. Please note: Loss to pointed end of sword. Please see pictures for detailed condition of break.
