Case hallmarked 1925.. A silver pocket watch with domed glass front cover, radiating hatching to the rear cover, ribbed circumferential band; Roman numerals on frosted panels on a textured field; rear cover hallmarked to the inner face with lion passant, leopard's head and date letter 'k' (for 1925) with maker's mark 'WF' to the centre; partial hallmark and maker's mark to the knop with silver loop; silver chain with securing bar stamped 'SS'; gilt winder with rosette to one face, '8' to the other; pendant medallion with legend 'Hampstead Garden Suburb Putting Greens Champion 1927' within a wreath to the obverse, 'P.Phillips' to the reverse. 168 grams, 44cm overall, watch: 51mm (17 1/4"). Property of an Essex gentleman; acquired 1960s-1980s. [No Reserve]
