Chinese Zitan And Jade Ruyi :
A carved zitan and jade ruyi with a circular ruyi head that is carved in a hobnail pattern and an applied wood character in the middle. The rectangular central jade plaque is carved and incised with curved patterns. The bottom forms a geometric end to the ruyi. The front of the ruyi's wood is carved in shapes similar to the central jade plaque. The wood shows purple-brownish patina. The jade shows pale-celadon with clean tone.
