Attr: Curtis & Dunning Mahogany Banjo Clock. 7 in. painted metal dial with black Roman hour numerals, blued open moon hands, brass door bezel with flat glass; brass 8 day weight driven time only movement attr: Curtis & Dunning has recoil escapement, long steel pendulum rod with brass covered bob, solid brass pulley and lead weight. In a mahogany banjo style case with gilt acorn finial, pierced brass side arms, gilt carved lower presentation bracket with turned spherical mounts, original reverse painted tablet and throat glasses with gilt and rope twist framework. Has some touchup painting to the gold around the glasses, original dial is repainted. 37.5 in. high x 10 in. wide x 4 in. deep. Weight: 16 lbs.
