Description

A Dietz #6 bell bottom frame with a 6" (really 5 3/4") red cast globe. This Dietz #6 has the No. 6 stamped in the very top. It is a standard frame with a pinch pot. The pinch pot has the Dietz name and it's the big diameter brass burner with stubby adjusting wheel that is not easy to find. The frame has a dent in teh bell so it does not stand perfectly straight. This can be coaxed back with gentle endless tapping using the curved end of a broomstick. I suggest doing this early some Sunday morning outside after the neighbors have been up parting too late on a Saturday.

The globe is a very interesting. It does not have an extended base like so many other #6 models. It has the fat 3 1/2" base diameter. It is flashed red on the inside. There are some base flakes so you can see the clear here-and-there. It's a good globe and not common.
