Description
FRANCE, 1814-1875A fine French ormolu and patinated bronze garniture set attributed to French Sculptor Edmund Louis Auguste Leveque. The mantle clock depicts Gil Blas and Captain Rolando from the French novel "Adventures of Gil Blas of Santillane" by Alain-Rene Lesage (1668-1747). The two figures are intricately detailed with gilt highlighting. The base of the clock is adorned with large gilt leaf and vine elements leading to a central crest with arms, armor, and treasure surrounding a knights helmet. The clock is powered by a Samuel Marti Medaille de Bronze movement. The clock is paired with a large pair of matching candelabra of Gil Blas and Rolando .
Dimensions:Candelabras measures 32" tall by 14" wide. The clock measures 17" tall by 29" wide by 10" deep

Condition
The candelabras with repairs to the branches and possible threads being stripped. The will need to be rewired. The clock is highly over wound, missing pendulum and not tested. The case is in overall good condition
