Description
Continental, likely French, early to mid 20th century. A pair of gilt metal and patinated bronze French Empire style candelabra, each depicting a caryatid holding an urn mounted with a torch atop her head, with two horns terminating in flamed candle cups, each standing on a domed columnar support, accented with stylized acanthus leaves, on a hexagonal base. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 24.75", width 8.5", diameter 4.5".
Condition
Wear commensurate with age and use. Some minor tarnishing and oxidation to gilt metal. One leans very slightly to side. Some minor scuffing and abrasions. No other visible signs of damage or repair.
