Description

Two French Carved Lit du Coins, 19th c., one mahogany example with scrolled ends joined by a curved front rail, on block feet; and a cherry example with scrolled ends, Mahogany- H.- 42 in., Int. W.- 72 in., Int. D.- 47 in., Cherry- H.- 38 3/4 in., Int. W.- 61 1/4 in., Int. D.- 30 3/4 in.

Condition

Condition consistent with age and use. Mahogany- Scattered hairline cracks to veneer, especially on the tops of the ends. An approximate 24 inch horizontal scratch along one end. A 3 inch loss to one foot. A 1 inch chip and apparent 2 by 2 inch repair to the veneer on tops of ends. Cherry- A vertical crack through the middle of one end. Holes from wood beetle exposure intermittently throughout. Scattered scratches, scuffs and dents throughout. Two nice examples. ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD "AS IS."
