Description
Chelsea House (American, founded 1973), late 20th century. A set of 8 Port Royal British National Trust Collection decorative plates, manufactured by Michael Minoprio and hand painted by J. McLaughlin with a British National Trust Collection home, including Kingston Lacy, Dryham Park, Cliveden, Kedleston Hall, Lyme Park, Osterly Park, Polesden Lacey, and Wimpole Hall, with a green rocaille border with scrolled gilt edging. Each signed "J. McLaughlin" to front, with manufacturer's mark to underside of each, with hand painted house name. These plates were the first plates manufactured out of a production of twenty-five. Approximate height .875", diameter 10.8". Provenance: From the Private Collection of the Owner of Chelsea House.
