This book includes 10 black and white photographs; index. Early jazz writing. Some of the material first appeared in two articles in American Mercury magazine - Nov. 1925 & April 1926. Includes photos of Paul Whiteman, W.C. Handy, Zez Confrey, Ferdie Grofe, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Ted Lewis, Vincent Lopez, Ben Bernie, and Isham Jones.
