902. [MARILYN MONROE] (1926-1962). Collection of four photographs, 5"x7", taken by famed celebrity photographer and journalist GEORGE BARRIS in 1962. During that time she was making her last movie Something's Got to Give. Barris photographed and interviewed Marilyn over a period of six weeks on the beach at Santa Monica and in a house in North Hollywood. During these sessions, they collaborated on a book of her memoirs. His photographs are regarded as most probably the last ones taken of the actress while she was alive, though he did not publish them until many years later.
