United States, Waltham, MA, Waltham Watch Case Co., ca. late 19th century CE. An antique 16+ karat gold-filled pocket watch by the Waltham Watch Co. (Dueber case, serial no. 4922596, #882). The movement functions well, features black Arabic Numerals (red for time elapsed) and the inscription "WALTHAM" against a white face, with an inset second hand face. The case features attractive engraved floral, butterfly, and heart designs. A lovely example from times of old, long before we relied on cell phones for the time.
