RP-36 NARROW FLUTE FOOTED PRESSED OPEN SALT, unlisted cobalt blue, circular form with plain rim, raised on a hexagonal foot with rays to underside. Listed in amber as unique, probably extremely rare or unique. Probably United States. 1840-1860. 2 1/8" H, 2 5/8" D rim.
Undamaged except for two minor flakes to underside of foot.
Literature: New designation published in The Acorn, Volume 15, 2008/2009, p. 67, "Pressed Glass Salt Dishes of the Lacy Period 1825-1850: An Addendum."
