The artist was born in Memphis, Tennessee, graduated from Duke University with a major in English and a focus in art, and has taken continuing education classes and workshops intermittently. Along the years she has had such diverse careers as: Chief Librarian of Duke University Chemistry Library, a fashion model, author and a career in historic restoration. Her works are in corporate and private collections in over 200 cities across the United States and abroad. She lives in Charleston, SC where she and her husband raised their four children.
