Description
A trio of Tairona zoomorphic beads from Colombia, ca. 1000 – 1500 AD. All are carved from red carnelian, the largest is 5/8 in long. The group consists of a nicely detailed jaguar head with fangs visible in the open mouth, an adorable frog and a small bird. Ex New World Artifacts Gallery.
