A marvelous document of the achievements of the leading architectural firm of McKim, Mead, and White. The firm, headed by Charles Follen McKim, William Rutherford Mead, and Stanford White are responsible for a number of America's iconic buildings including Madison Square Garden, New York University, Columbia University, Library of J. Pierpont Morgan, Tiffany and Co, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Pennsylvania R.R. Station, the Boston Public Library, the Harvard Club, Rhode Island State Capitol, the home Joseph Pulitzer, the White House Renovation of 1903, and much more. A landmark work in the history of American Architecture. 20 numbers were skipped in the numbering of the plates to make up for 20 additional plates (e.g. 5a, 140b, 275x, &c.). Lacking plate 351 (though plate 351a is present). Plate numbers 49 and 183 are present in two states with slight variations in printing. Three of the plates are folding plates, each with two plate numbers. One plate (258) is misnumbered (259).
