The second edition of Stirrup's work on sundials, quadrants and other instruments containing some additional types of dial. This is the issue with the addition of Dialling Universal, with separate title-page, pagination and register, and mention of it on the title-page of the major work. The Appendix by Leybourne has a separate title page, but continuous pagination and register with the first work. Wing S5689. Old in notes and figures on flyleaves, including ownership signature of Edward Hunt.

Some aging to contents, neat marginal repairs to A2-3, very good in fine modern binding.
